Support Groups

Visiting Nurse Home Care and Hospice offers peer support groups for community members who have experienced the loss of a loved one or are coping with chronic health issues.

Living with Loss Support Group

If you have experienced the loss of a loved one, our group may be able to help. Aimed toward recovery from your loss, you may find that the supportive group experience can enhance the quality of your life.

The Living with Loss Support Group is facilitated by Sue Davidson. Sue is a minister with a background as a chaplain for hospice. She hosts the group in a way to bring people together, and all benefit from peer support.

The group is not a class, a lecture or counseling. What it is is peer support. It’s a safe and confidential place where you are not the only one in that place. You don’t ever get over it. You live in it, and then you live through it. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. You can’t compare your journey. This is where support comes in. There are no stages or phases.
